Fat Freezing for the Arms
For many women and occasionally men - fat freezing on their arms is a sought after treatment. Fudubudas tuck shop arms, bat wings or as we like to call them angel wings. This is a highly effective body contouring treatment for your arm fat.
Fat freezing works through a process known as apoptosis where low temperature is applied to the subcutaneous fat cells causing them controlled damage. Over the course of the next 12 weeks, the lymphatic system naturally expels these cells from the body. The area has decreased subcutaneous fat cell volume due to the decrease in fat cells, giving it a sculpted appearance.
Prior to fat freezing for arms became a known and successful body sculpting treatment, the only permanent treatment available was liposuction or arm tuck, which leave many people with scars that transverse the full upper arm. What will impact treatment recommendations and fat freezing results?
The amount of tissue in the targeted area, skin laxity and individual body’s responses will always influence your personal treatment’s results. If the arms have had a significant weight before treatment and the skin in that area has been stretched for long period of time, it is important to get to examine and see if fat freezing is suitable. If all of the subcutaneous fat cells are removed with fat freezing, there is a potential that the underarm area will become an empty sack of skin. Hence, it is important that an individual consultation is undertaken before a treatment plan is commenced.
How many treatments will I need for fat-freezing on arms?
Usually we recommend 1 to 2 sessions of treatment for the arms. However, like always, the number of treatments will depend on the amount of tissue in the area, the desired results and your bodily responses to the treatment.
As the arms are generally smaller an area for the treatment. At Beautiful Body Clinics, we do recommend that the decision regarding the second (or any repeat) treatments should not be conducted until 10 -12 weeks after the initial treatment. This way, we can assess the results of the first treatment before proceed with any further procedure in the area.
