Paul visited our clinic, wanting to change his shape. In his mid-60s, he wanted to look how he felt - in his prime.

How does Fat freezing work?
Like all our clients, we had to educate Paul that fat freezing is not an obesity treatment or to help with global weight loss. Fat freezing works on the subcutaneous layer of fat cells and can contour the body. It is not a weight loss treatment because body weight is impacted daily by various factors, including the size of muscles, the level of hydration (due to intake and hormone fluctuations), and the amount of food in the digestive tract. The fat cells that are located in the abdominal cavity are known as visceral fat, and there is also intramuscular fat (fat cells that are found within the muscles) and neither of these due to their location and the protective area of the muscles adjacent to them are not impacted by fat freezing. Only the number of subcutaneous fat cells where the fat freezing applicator or handle is applied is reduced by freezing, which is why it is not considered a global weight loss treatment. While we have subcutaneous fat cells covering our entire body, fat freezing is only used to reduce the amount of fat in the area where the applicator (or handle ) is placed and, in Janet’s case, on her belly. While Paul is only eight weeks in, Paul has already started to feel and look better.
